“This is what comes next.”

Formal education gives photographers a foundation. This is what comes next.

I build continuing education for photographers who have taken the institutional route and are ready to go deeper into practice, meaning, and craft.

A mature practice asks questions like how narrative structure shapes what viewers are allowed to feel, how compositional geometry operates below conscious awareness, what ethical obligations a photographer carries toward their subject and their audience.

What I Do.

I started teaching in 2000. I’ve been photographing professionally since 2012. My practice has always been in service of the teaching, not the other way around.

I developed Alberta's first government-approved 3D animation program, secured educational grants to provide access to students, and delivered curriculum from Yellowknife to the Okanagan. I'm currently delivering Photography Certificate programs online at MacEwan University's School of Continuing Education.

I've taught for MacEwan University School of Continuing Education, the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton Digital Arts College, and the Edmonton Public and Catholic School Boards and Elk Island Public Schools.

The credential I'm most proud of is simpler: students keep coming back.

Story Strategy for Creatives

Creative professionals keep telling the story of who they are instead of the problems they solve, and it's costing them clients. I meet with them four times to flip that narrative into a plan that grows their practice.

Build Your Story.

Content Strategy for Nonprofits

Most Nonprofits focus on the data, and the impact story comes second, and it's costing them grants and donors. I work with them over two focused sessions to build a content strategy that puts the problem first and opens funding doors.
